<\/p>\nIn the true spirit of giving and community support, LADIESFUND, an initiative of DawoodGlobal Foundation, held a special event under its Bhook Mitao program to distribute 250 food rations to the Christian community in celebration of Christmas. The event, which took place at The Buraq Center by LADIESFUND, was graced by esteemed Chief Guest Father Benjamin, Guest of Honour German Consul General Andreas Wagner, and several distinguished LADIESFUND VVIP Members and Patrons.<\/p>\n
The food rations were carefully sourced and distributed to provide relief and joy to underprivileged families during the holiday season. The initiative adhered to Islamic principles, ensuring that the rations were funded exclusively from Sadqah contributions, keeping Zakat strictly reserved for Muslim beneficiaries in alignment with religious guidelines, which were given out earlier in the day to zakat qualifying and zakat accepting people.<\/p>\n

Tara Uzra Dawood, President of LADIESFUND, shared her thoughts on the occasion:<\/strong> Father Benjamin expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Christian community, emphasizing the importance of such inclusive efforts in fostering interfaith harmony. German Deputy Head of Mission Andreas Wagner praised LADIESFUND’s commitment to uplifting communities and fostering mutual respect among faiths. “The Bhook Mitao initiative exemplifies the spirit of giving and compassion. It’s inspiring to witness such thoughtful efforts toward community welfare.”<\/p>\n Sheema Kermani added, \u201cI\u2019ve been collaborating with LADIESFUND and the Dawood Global Foundation to provide rations and help to the underprivileged, especially those who have faced the floods and to those Bhook Mitao Ambassador Dr. Fahad Mirza said, \u201cI want all of you to come forward and contribute to this program, even if you\u2019re Muslim or not Muslim, we do this for the people, we do this for humanity\u201d.<\/p>\n Kulsoom Aftab further endorsed the work, saying \u201cI\u2019m so proud and so happy to have been a part of this activity, and really what this is to me is a sense of being alive, if you\u2019re part of something, whatever it is that you can do, being there and sometimes just appreciating Tara and what she does\u201d.<\/p>\n Shazia Adnan, of the community leaders receiving rations, also said \u2018I am very thankful for Dawood Foundation and LADIESFUND because every year on Christmas, they help our entire community through ration, this is their form of showing love and care, and I hope that they continue to show their kindness and work through what they do\u201d.<\/p>\n Anwaar Sheikh thanked LADIESFUND for its many years of supporting the least remembered communities.<\/p>\n Others spotted at the event included Karim (CEO, PaySys), Syed Aamir Sajjad (Australia Fertility Clinic), Ahsan Mehanti (Arif Habib Commodites), Sarfraz Dennis Naseer (Saving Lives Foundation), Raja Malik (Belco Chocolates), Khursheed Alam and Syed Muhammad Wahaj (Garibsons) The event also included a heartwarming gathering where attendees shared festive greetings, reinforcing the message of togetherness and goodwill. Sarfraz Dennis Naseer had arranged a beautiful Christmas tree and cake which was cut.<\/p>\n LADIESFUND remains committed to its mission of empowering communities and addressing hunger, one family at a time.
