Imad Hasnain, a young enterprising Pakistani who strives to make a name for himself and his country in the World of Culinary Industry. A Pakistani chef at a 2 Star Michelin restaurant in New York City at just 22 years of age! Imad Hasnain is a Fish Roast at a 2 Star Michelin restaurant The Modern MoMA in New York City.
After spending his early years in Karachi, Pakistan, Imad moved to Saudi Arabia where he attended High School. He moved to New York City where the journey of becoming a fabulous chef started when he attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America.
The main reason of his success story is that he is one of the few blessed ones who actually experience success through a profession they enjoy practicing. Imad was very fond of cooking from a very young age and would regularly experiment in the house kitchen along with his mother and come up with different dishes, not only taste wise but also in presenting them. Within no time, he became famous in the family for dishing out a few very interesting appetizers which made him realize that he has a special knack for cooking and decided to pursue it as a career.
Imad does not believe in having an idol to convince yourself about what you believe you are good in. He believes that people around you on daily basis are the ones who inspire and motivate you to work hard and strive for the best. That is why he is always appreciative and thankful to his close friends and family for making him achieve not only success but also helping him fulfill his dream.
Imad was lucky to have some of the finest chefs as his teachers during his time at the Culinary Institute of America. He is extremely thankful to his teachers in particular Chef Lipuma at the Culinary Institute of America for inspiring, polishing and guiding him to become a great chef.
Imad Hasnain feels that cooking is a very responsible field of profession.
“As cooks, we are constantly striving to be better and faster, so time management is essential as you are given a deadline in the form of service daily and being ready with all your prep is essential towards a good service and as you progress your tasks get longer you need to work smarter”
“Problem solving is also integral as you are put in situations where you need to in a sense make magic happen, utilizing your cooking acumen to find the best way to solve the situation and get the food to the customers not only in time but also as per their satisfaction”
